INSTRUCTORS

Professional pilot training means going beyond the minimum requirements. Our instructors focus on cultivating deep technical knowledge and superior judgment, ensuring you possess the skill set to prevent emergencies before they happen. We don’t just build pilots; we develop masters of the craft who truly enjoy the journey.

I am a CFI/CFII with a commercial multi engine certificate, complex, high performance, tailwheel and high altitude endorsements. Kerrville is home for me, in my time I enjoy riding horses and hiking with my dog and husband. Most of my training was completed here in Fredericksburg and Kerrville, I have also trained in San Antonio TX, Chickasha OK and Nashville TN. I have lots of experience in Mooneys, Cessna 172s, Diamond DA40s and Cessna 182s. Crosswind Aviation has been home for a bit under a year and I have loved every second of it. I am currently taking new students for private pilot, instrument rating and commercial pilot training and am also available for flight reviews and instrument proficiency checks. Nothing beats flying in the Texas hill country, I am excited to help you reach your goals in aviation!

I’m a Commercial Pilot with licenses as a Certified Flight Instructor(CFI), Certified Flight Instructor Instrument(CFIl), Multiengine Instructor(MEl) and have my Complex/High Performance endorsements as well. I did my flight training through VTAAA flight school, ATP flight school and Hub City Aviation. I’ve been passionate about anything that has a motor and moves since I was a little kid. After high school I fell in love with flying and have been doing it ever since! One of my favorite things is introducing people to the world of aviation and getting to teach them how to fly on their own!

I am a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Certified Flight Instructor–Instrument (CFI-I) with extensive experience in complex and high-performance single-engine aircraft. I completed my flight training at Crosswind Aviation and Kerrville Aviation. I regularly fly our Cessna 177RG on cross-country trips throughout the United States, including destinations such as Vancouver, the First Flight Museum on the Outer Banks, Tennessee, and many other locations. I frequently fly to College Station to cheer on our beloved Texas A&M Aggies, where two of my children are proud graduates and where I completed my post-doctoral internship. I also maintain a property in Angel Fire, New Mexico, have completed multiple mountain flying courses, and am experienced in mountain operations in both the Rocky Mountains and the Appalachian Mountains. If you are in need of a flight review, private pilot training, commercial pilot training, or instrument training, I would be glad to fly with you—please reach out to me at Crosswind Aviation.

I grew up in San Antonio, and spent my childhood coming to Kerrville to visit my maternal grandfather, who passionately shared his love for the Texas Hill Country with my twin brother and I. After eventually graduating from the University of Texas at San Antonio, I worked for Republic National Distributing Company as an Alcohol Distributor in San Antonio and Austin. Up to this point, I had no experience in aviation. My paternal grandfather, who I did not know growing up, served in the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command, and as Crew Chief, was responsible for the maintenance of the B-52 Stratofortress. After 21 years in the Air Force, he later became a Certified Flight Instructor. So while I had ties to aviation in my family, I had never really spent much time around airplanes growing up. Getting into aviation was a spontaneous decision for me. I can remember the exact moment that I decided to quit my job and become a pilot, having never been in a small airplane before. I took my discovery flight at ATP Flight School, where I received my Private Pilot, Instrument, and Commercial certificates at KSAT in San Antonio. I then received my CFI, CFII, and MEI at KGKY in Arlington, Texas. Becoming a Flight Instructor has been both the most challenging and the most rewarding thing I have ever done.
